SIT20322 Certificate II in Hospitality

SIT20322Nationally recognised training

The qualification for getting good at hospitality. Certificate II builds operational skill in service, coffee, food handling and working a shift as part of a team, to the standard where a venue can roster you with confidence.

In a region built on tourism, there is steady demand for these skills. Many students complete the course as a traineeship, employed in a local café, restaurant, hotel or resort while they train; our graduates Grace and Rachael both started that way.

Fees and funding

Eligible students may access this qualification subsidised under the Queensland Government's Career Start program. Fees for each offering are shown above. Traineeship fees for eligible trainees are set at $1.60 per nominal training hour. Check your eligibility.

What you'll learn

Serving food and beverage, espresso coffee, hygienic practices for hospitality service, safe work, interacting with customers, and using hospitality skills effectively across the venue, with electives shaped to where you work.

Where it leads
