Website and booking terms
These terms apply when you book a seat in a short-course session (first aid, CPR, RSA, food safety, barista and similar).
Booking a short course
- Cancelling. Cancellation must be given in writing. If you cancel more than 7 days before the start date, you receive a full refund of course fees less a $50 administration fee. If you cancel 1 to 6 days before the start date, you receive a 50% refund; the amount retained covers the staff and resources already committed to your booking. If you cancel on or after the start date, fees are not refunded.
- If we cancel. You receive a full refund whenever we withdraw a course or cannot provide the course you booked.
- Illness and hardship. In circumstances of illness or extreme hardship you may withdraw and receive a partial refund. Satisfactory evidence (such as a medical certificate) must be provided, and a non-refundable $50 administration fee is deducted from any eligible refund.
- Transfers. Your booking can be moved to an alternative date where one is available. If no alternative date or course is available, the cancellation terms above apply.
- Discounted bookings are final. Bookings made at a discounted or sale price are not eligible for rescheduling, cancellation, refund or transfer. Make sure of your availability before booking at a sale rate.
- Arrive on time. Express sessions start promptly and doors close at the advertised start time. Late arrivals cannot be admitted, and a missed session is treated under the cancellation terms above.
- Pre-course work. Some courses require online modules before you attend (stated on the course page, and you'll need a computer and internet access). If you arrive without completing them you cannot be assessed, and the session is treated as a missed booking.
- Physical requirements. First aid and CPR assessment includes performing 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on a manikin on the floor. If you're unsure you can meet a stated requirement, call 07 4098 1228 before booking.
- Group bookings are quoted and invoiced separately, with terms in the quote.
Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including where a service isn't delivered with due care or doesn't match its description.
Qualification enrolments
Full qualifications and funded places aren't bought through the website. Enrolment follows the fees and refunds policy and the pre-enrolment process, where every cost is disclosed in writing before you pay anything.
