Student information
Everything you need as a student, in one place. If your question isn't answered here, call 07 4098 1228 and a person will answer.
Start here
- Student Handbook (PDF): your enrolment, rights, responsibilities, assessment, support services and key policies in one document. Every student should read it.
- Unique Student Identifier (USI): you need a USI to enrol in nationally recognised training and to receive your certificate. Create or find yours free at usi.gov.au; we can help if you're stuck.
Policies
- Fees and refunds: what courses cost, how and when you pay, and how refunds work (including full refunds of co-contribution fees before training starts).
- Complaints and appeals: how to raise a problem, assessment appeals, and the independent avenues beyond us.
- Privacy: what we collect, why, who we're required to share it with (including government VET data requirements), and your rights.
Recognition of prior learning and credit transfer
Already hold units, or years of experience doing the work? You may not need to train in what you can already prove. How RPL and credit transfer work →

Support while you study
Small classes mean problems get noticed early, but tell us as well. Language, literacy and numeracy support is built into how we teach. If life is interfering with study (work, family, health, money), talk to your trainer or call the office. Deferrals, leave and payment arrangements exist for exactly that; the Student Handbook sets out the support available.
