SIT30622 Certificate III in Hospitality
SIT30622Nationally recognised training
For hospitality workers who've built the basics and are ready to be the person others rely on. Certificate III develops well-rounded service, sales and operational capability: running your section, solving customer problems on the spot, handling the finances of a shift, and helping newer staff find their feet.
It's the qualification behind the step from "staff" to "senior staff", and a common existing-worker traineeship for venues investing in their people.
Fees and funding
Eligible students may access this qualification subsidised under the Queensland Government's Career Start program. The co-contribution fee for every offering is shown above. Traineeship fees for eligible trainees are set at $1.60 per nominal training hour. Check your eligibility.
What you'll learn
Advanced service and sales, espresso and beverage service, processing financial transactions, hygienic practices and safe work, coaching others in job skills, and the operational judgement a busy venue depends on. Electives are tuned to your venue type.
Where it leads
Senior food and beverage attendant, shift senior and functions staff. Next steps are the SIT40422 Certificate IV in Hospitality for supervisor and team leader roles, or targeted skill sets like SITSS00069 Food Safety Supervision (ask us about delivery dates).
