CHCSS00128 High Support and Complex Care - Disability Support
CHCSS00128Nationally recognised training
Some participants need more than standard support: complex physical care, high-intensity daily activities, and health-related tasks that need specific training. This nationally recognised skill set prepares experienced disability support workers to deliver high support and complex care safely and competently.
NDIS providers delivering high-intensity supports need demonstrably trained staff. This skill set is how workers step into those rosters, and how providers show their staff are trained.
Fees and funding
Eligible Queenslanders can access this skill set subsidised under the Career Boost program at the co-contribution fee shown above. Skill sets are exempt from Career Boost's prior-qualification rule, and each person can access up to two subsidised skill sets. Check your eligibility.
What's involved
Training and assessment against the skill set's units, focused on person-centred responses to complex needs and safe delivery of high-support care. On successful completion you receive a Statement of Attainment for the units achieved, with credit available into the CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support.
Who it's for
Experienced disability support workers moving into high-intensity support roles; providers building complex-care capability across a team. It pairs naturally with Disability Work - Behaviour Support; together they use both of your subsidised skill-set places.
