CHCSS00124 Disability Work - Behaviour Support
CHCSS00124Nationally recognised training
Behaviour support is some of the most skilled work in disability support. This nationally recognised skill set trains support workers to work within person-centred, positive behaviour support frameworks: understanding what behaviour communicates, following behaviour support plans, and reducing restrictive practices in line with NDIS requirements.
It's a targeted program for people already working in disability support who are stepping into roles where behaviour support is part of the day: supported independent living, community access with complex participants, or teams implementing formal behaviour support plans.
Fees and funding
Eligible Queenslanders can access this skill set subsidised under the Career Boost program at the co-contribution fee shown above. Skill sets are exempt from the prior-qualification rule (already holding a certificate IV or degree doesn't disqualify you), and each person can access up to two subsidised skill sets. Check your eligibility.
