FSK20119 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways

FSK20119Nationally recognised training

School doesn't work out for everyone. This qualification rebuilds the foundations (reading, writing, everyday maths, digital skills and spoken communication) in a workplace context, with a plan for where you're heading next.

Everything is applied: you practise the skills on the kinds of documents, calculations and conversations that real jobs involve, and career planning is part of the course itself. Classes are small, patient and free of judgement. Most of our students arrive doubting themselves and leave enrolled in the next course or working.

Fees and funding

Eligible Queenslanders study this course subsidised under the Queensland Government's Career Start program at the co-contribution fee shown above. A foundation skills qualification doesn't use up your subsidised training places the way other courses do. Check your eligibility.

What you'll learn

Reading and responding to workplace information, writing workplace texts, calculating with numbers the way jobs require, using digital technology for routine tasks, communicating in meetings and teams, and building a genuine career plan with strategies to get there.

Where it leads

Directly into entry-level work, a traineeship, or the next qualification, most commonly the BSB10120 Certificate I or BSB20120 Certificate II in Workplace Skills.
